Like most of us who have passions other than
the work we do - I loved photography. The play of light, the
capture of a cherished moment, the chance to explore a subject to the depth of
its character in a moment's flash, fascinated me. I wanted to learn this
art and elevate my craft. So I subscribed to expensive magazines, attended paid
workshops, dug into youtube and poured through blogs from experts. All these
helped to a great extent, but I realised, that it's a pain to learn this way
from a multitude of sources. I felt the absence of one single platform on
all aspects of photography that would have spared me the
drudgery of searching all over.
And then one realised that it's not
too different for someone who wanted to learn the fine art of tasting
wines or a young corporate executive keen to upgrade his personality quotient
or someone who wanted to learn simple pottery skills or even young parents keen
to learn the art of story telling to engage their kids.
Therein this idea of building one
large curated, repository of learning on a range of eclectic
stuff, taught by the best experts, happened.
So we engaged the best wine
tasters, bartenders, interesting storytellers, personal grooming experts,
award winning photographers and various other practitioners, from a range of
interests. All kinds of stuff you've wanted to indulge in, but never
pursued due to the lack of time and one right learning platform.
